Doc's wishes to thank Mickey Carroll for helping us to raise over $7300.00 for Backstoppers in honor of Kirkwood Police Officer William McEntee.

Mickey, the last remaining cast member of the Wizard of Oz, was on hand during Doc's Summer Open House autographing Oz memorabilia for donations to this great cause. 86 years old, he signed everything from press sheets to Christmas ornaments for over 6 hours!

Over the course of the afternoon, Mickey and the good people from Backstoppers received $2300.00 in donations from attendees of the Open House.

Doc's agreed to match proceeds and when it was all said and done, we decided to double match the donations to honor our hometown police force which has been so good to us over the years. Thank you to everyone who donated to this great cause.

In addition to the Oz festivities, Kirkwood H.O.G. #2573 was on hand to collect for MDA. Through soda donations, merchandise offered for the "HOG Days of Summer" with the St. Louis Cardinals and MDA, and collecting on the corner on a hot summer day, Kirkwood H.O.G. was able to collect over $2,000.00 for the cause!

Sum total, it was a fantastic day for giving at Doc's, Saturday, July 16th. We wish to thank all of you for your continued support in giving to these great causes!
